Division, discouragement and despair can run rampant in cyberspace.
But when I jump on social media and check-in with my #sportsmoms in the Sports Moms United facebook community, I connect with the most amazing, determined and supportive women who share common ground with me…our kids play sports.
Some of our kids play for fun.
Some of our kids play to get an education.
Some of our kids are gifted.
Some of our kids are not.
But it doesn’t’ matter. What matters is we have a community of women supporting, inspiring, and sharing experiences and resources with each other with the intention of raising our athletes to be amazing human beings!
It’s my #sportsmom support group.
In the Sports Moms United facebook community, I find my cheerleaders, my encouragers and my wise warriors who give me honest feedback. It’s my sounding board. And my place to vent because I know other moms in the community understand and are experiencing life through the #sportsmom filter, too.
And we come from all backgrounds. We are as diverse in our circumstances as we are in the sports our children play, but when we come to this community to share, celebrate (and cry together, too) something special happens.
We see were not alone on this journey.
We find resources and support.
We connect to a bigger purpose.

In our growing community of #sportsmoms, we are harnessing this power through our sports connection. We are raising our boys and girls to become men and women of substance and character through the opportunities in sports.

I love the wonderful words of encouragement from this group! Grateful for that! I’ve been in the group for only a few days and found the support overwhelming! It’s a great group!
If you are a sport mom and often have questions or need support for you and your busy, often hectic life of kids in sports, you should really reach out to the Facebook group “Sport Moms United”! Beth Fisher Jessop and her crew have lots of help, support and even a board certified nutritionist to help keep you and your family on track! They have info on recruitment should your child need direction, fast and easy food choices for your athlete and they even welcome brag pics of your little or big athlete! They have been a great help to me in a lot of different areas and if I have a question or need support, they are always there!!
