Athletes of The Day: THE HOCKEY MOM

It’s time to celebrate our Athletes of The Day!

Today is National Hockey Mom Day, so we are celebrating all the HOCKEY MOMS!

Linda Zimmerman, nominated by hubby, Tom Zimmerman, is representing Hockey Moms everywhere and is our Athlete of the Day!

Tell us about Linda’s achievement:

It takes incredible athleticism and patience to be not just a hockey mom, but a hockey wife. My wife Linda is the one who organizes our son Evan’s schedules of games and practices. She does the same thing for me as I play on multiple teams, coach a Pee Wee (U12) travel team, and also coach an adult women’s team Rampage Women’s Hockey.

Our 13 year old daughter is in honor’s choir, speech team, and theater in her school. Who makes sure we all are on the same page? Yep…Linda! How she keeps everything straight for us so we can concentrate on the things we need to do is beyond me!

Tell us about a character trait Linda has that you admire:

Linda is by far the most positive person I have ever known. She beat cancer in 2018 but even through what were the darkest days, she kept an incredibly positive outlook on everything. It would have been easy for her to get down but she never did. Not once!

Tell us one thing you want your athlete to know:

I would like Linda to know that we love her very much and she is appreciated every single day.

Congratulations,  Linda!
